Starless Moonlight

On a starless night walking along the wet sands.
Seagulls flying low scooping fish as they go
Not a care in this world just free.
As the tides sound low and the winds blow slow.
I bend down and I write on the ground my S.O.S
so I can be found.Lost in the night of
sleepless wonders and dreams of sweet slumbers.
I can’t help but wonder if this will fill my hunger.
The brightness of the full moon has erased all the gloom
of what the light reveals and quickly kills in the hills of thunder.
I turn and walk the path sought
with unanswered thoughts in the light that wasn’t bought.
But given from the heavens up yonder.
